Chilly weather, orange pumpkins, scary costumes, and treats...lots of them. What happens after the ghost have left and the vampires tend back to their layer? Well we are left with a very ghoulish feeling, in our bellies. The over-dose of artificial sugar probably has gotten to the best of us. Is there a way to cure this sugar coma? Of course! Keep consistent and your goal in mind, you will get there in no time. Here are our top 5 ways to get you over this hallows day hump.
1) Drink more water.
That's right, it's as easy as H20. We tend to forget about this simple trick funnels are digestive track. This is what loosens up the junk that needs to release out of the body. 2-3 liters a day should do the trick
2) Break Your Sugar Addition
We all naturally crave sweets. Instead of reaching for the Kit Kat bar, reach for a banana instead!
3) Get your zzz's in
When we get tired we get lazy. Also when we don't sleep enough our metabolism slows down. Make sure you make enough time for yourself to get in at least 8 hours of sleep a night.
4) Eat whole, nourishing foods
You've had enough of the processed stuff, switch over to plant based whole foods for optimal energy. Perhaps a carrot apple ginger soup, or a quick hearty salad alternative to do the trick.
5) Break a Sweat
That right, you got to sweat to detox your system. There is no other way around it, so pick your favorite activity and do it every day for 30 minutes. That's all you need, just make sure your lymphatic system is moving so you see the perspiration!
