We are so excited to introduce our Walking/Running fitness challenge starting the month of March. We will have an ongoing blog post every week about various fact about why walking and/or running is extremely vital to your health. We strive to build a community within this challenge so our clients can be each other’s motivators.

So the first series of our walking well blog post? Why a group challenge is better than doing a challenge solo.

A community fitness challenge is a great way to increase cardiovascular fitness, which is a key ingredient of good health. This fitness challenge is an opportunity to apply what you have learned at A Body of Work (ABOW) to aerobic movement. It’s a chance to apply your core strength, flexibility, alignment skills, and sound movement principles outside the ABOW studio.

A group challenge can help you improve your cardiovascular fitness in many ways.

  • Group and peer support

  • Friendly competition

  • Motivation

  • Helps you focus on cardiovascular fitness and whatever you focus on improves

  • Provides new ideas on how to enhance your workouts

  • Helps you set fitness goals

  • Publicly committing yourself keeps you more accountable

  • Satisfaction of reaching higher fitness goals

There you have it folks! Stay tuned for more interesting facts and tips for the next month and make sure to put your name down on the calendar once it's up and running on March 1st.
